Dr. Natalya Rooney received bachelor’s of science degree at Adelphi University in 2009 and Doctor of Optometry degree from SUNY College of Optometry in 2013. While in SUNY College of Optometry, Dr. Rooney completed her rotations with emphasis on ocular disease and pediatrics.
Throughout her career Dr. Rooney worked in various medical settings throughout Brooklyn, Queens and Long Island with an emphasis on ocular disease.
She is currently practicing full scope primary care optometry with passion for Dry Eye Disease, Myopia (nearsightedness) control and Glaucoma. Dr. Rooney offers various types of treatments that help get to the core of the problem.
Dr. Rooney is an active member of American Optometric Association, the New York State Optometric Association and Nassau County Optometric Society which allows her to keep up to date and utilize the most recent optometric research.
Overall, she is a concerned and mindful optometrist who is dedicated in helping her patients receive the best treatment that is available to them so that they can enjoy a positive and fulfilling lifestyle. She is sensitive to the uniqueness of each patient’s situation and adapts her consultations and treatment options appropriately to accommodate individual needs and concerns.
When Dr. Rooney is not helping her patients with their vision, she enjoys spending time with her family (her husband and her two beautiful children). She enjoys traveling and loves anything Disney.
She is proud to be part of the Merrick Community where she resides and hopes to bring her passion and care in optometric field to her neighborhood. She is a member of PTA and SEPTA in the Merrick community.
